Owning the latest technology can be satisfying, however many may find it difficult to adjust to or learn how to use modern features.
Doro devices can be seen as an interesting compromise. They provide a range of mobile phones with differing features; the common theme is ease of use and hopefully, there is something for every range of ability.
The new 6520 is a traditional 'clamshell' flip-phone design. This is compact and portable, with far superior battery life to current -all-touch' smartphones.
A 6520 is a feature phone at heart - it doesn't have all of the capabilities of a true smartphone - however, there is still the capability for basic 3G Internet connectivity, so you can receive emails and keep up to date with the news while away from home.
All new Doro devices also feature My Doro Manager. This is a system that allows trusted family members or friends the ability to remotely access your phone to update it or change settings.
The 2.8-inch screen displays in full colour and shows the menus, incoming calls and messages, signal strength, date and time. This is covered with a hard wearing plastic to avoid damage to the screen and reduce glare from bright light sources - useful if used outside.
A 12 button numeric features high contrast buttons with a soft texture for easy typing. The 4-way directional keypad allows you to easily navigate the phone's menus and select items on the screen.
When the phone is closed, 2 LEDs on the top cover can alert you of pending messages and low battery. These are located just below the 2-megapixel camera lens.
The 6520 has 3G data capabilities. If the contract, or plan, you have in place with your network provider delivers 3G data, then you can continue to receive emails, messages and browse the Internet when away from home.
